### Markdown, with the tables still tables

Headings, lists, and tables become Markdown. On a PDF, rows that share columns become a pipe table, and a cell can hold more than one word, such as New York. You can also return a plain string or save a TXT file.

### Keep processing inside your app

DocuLift 1.0.2 runs offline. Documents are not uploaded, and your app does not call DocuLift at runtime.

## Add DocuLift to your C# application.

### 1. Request your key

Enter your email at the trial form. DocuLift emails a 30-day trial key. For a full license, write to licensing@doculift.org.

### 2. Install and configure

Install DocuLift from NuGet. Put the key in DOCULIFT\_LICENSE\_KEY or in Doculift:LicenseKey in appsettings. Leave the key out of your source code.

### 3. Convert the document

Load the file and convert it. A trial key and a full key use the same package.

Evaluate the library with a free 30-day trial from the date your key is issued. Our licensing team emails your key with its expiry date printed on it. Requests do not generate a key automatically.

Your full license key has no end date and uses the same NuGet package. Agree pricing and payment with our licensing team by email, then receive your full license key by email.

What does DocuLift return?

A string, a TXT file, or Markdown. Word and PowerPoint keep headings, lists, and tables. PDF rows that share columns become a Markdown table. This version does not write a new PDF, Word file, or slide deck.

Which document formats can I read?

TXT (.txt), RTF (.rtf), PDF (.pdf), Word (.docx), and PowerPoint (.pptx), through one NuGet package. DocuLift is a library for your C# application. It runs on .NET Core 3.1 through .NET 10. .NET Framework is not a target.

How is PDF text arranged?

PDF text roughly follows the page's reading order and left-to-right placement. Images are left out. This release extracts text already present in the PDF; it does not read text from scanned images or offer OCR.

Are my documents uploaded anywhere?

No. DocuLift 1.0.2 runs inside your software and works offline. Your app does not call DocuLift at runtime.

Do I need another download for a full license?

No. Trial and full license keys use the same DocuLift NuGet package. When you receive your license key by email, update your application configuration with the new key. You do not need a different package for a new trial.

How long does the trial last?

30 days. The expiry date is printed on the key. Enter your email at the trial form and the key arrives by email.

Where should I store my key?

In DOCULIFT\_LICENSE\_KEY, or in Doculift:LicenseKey in appsettings. Keep the key out of source code.

How much does a license cost?

Email licensing@doculift.org to discuss pricing and payment with our licensing team. No price is listed on the website. After pricing and payment are agreed, your full license key is emailed to you. The full license key has no end date.

## Before you integrate

What does DocuLift return?

DocuLift returns the extracted words as a string or a TXT file. In version 0.0.1, the output is text, not a new PDF, Word file, or slide deck.
